A product portfolio is the collection of all the products and services offered by a company. Analysis of the portfolio provide insights into the sources of company sales and profits, and growth prospects. The portfolio may be viewed as a group of product lines, as well as a group of individual products.

A business can use a variety of pricing strategies when selling a product or service. To determine the most effective pricing strategy a business needs to first identify the company’s pricing position, pricing segment, pricing capability and their competitive pricing reaction strategy.
